F-locked to spare the public the dull chronicles of my oftentimes uneventful life xP Mostly I whine about school and my lack of effort at accomplishing anything related to it, but occasionally I include a smart-assed sentence or two on something pertaining to Johnny's Entertainment. Haven't mastered the not-so-subtle art of fangirling just quite yet, sadly.

Feel free to add omo if you only stumbled upon this place looking for more JE fics :)

And if you're here on purpose, hi. Drop a comment here and let's get to know one another more ♥

Went to Trinoma after class with Pam, Jessa and Berna. We were supposed to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button but were sadly misinformed about the movie's duration (a whopping three hours). So we watched Bride Wars instead.

I'm not the hugest chick flick fan, usually because halfway through the movie I already have a pretty good outlined, detailed, and footnoted idea of what's going to happen in the remaining scenes (and the ending). That and the fact that there's a whole lot more thrill in kickass fight scenes than two lovers getting all googly-eyed at each other.

Bride Wars is just as predictable as any other chick flick I've seen (though I suppose the length of my title list isn't all that impressive). But it was fun watching it because there were lots of witty repartee and amusing over-the-top character antics to go around. The nice thing about chick flicks is that you don't need to think too much when you're watching them. You just watch them because it's...fun. Which, I guess, is the whole point of that genre anyway. Or maybe people watch those kinds of movies for the kilig factor/WAFF? Potato, potahto.

A-ny-way. Churvanna, I love you guys ♥ You're the only ones who can make me watch a chick flick on the big screen and enjoy it. I'm glad you guys are such romantics; it keeps my cynicism in check xP Let's do it again sometime when all of us can go.

I think I bombed both my exams today. Don't care much for Chem 40.1; I've been flunking all my chem lab exams since the 26.1 days so I am resigned to the fact that I will probably fail this one too =_= And then there's Bio 102. Cat circulatory system = do not want D: If the last lec exam isn't going to be my ticket to the finals, then this one will be.

Went to the hospital right after the Bio 102 exam. I was already running late because we took the exam an hour later than the scheduled time, and it was just my luck that the jeep I happened to be riding on was moving along at a snail's pace. Seriously, it was so effing slow, I think the driver was actually attempting to see if the leisurely strolling passersby on the sidewalk could outrun him :| Dad picked me up at McDo Q Ave, though. And traffic was heavy in Manila, so whoop dee doo.

Anyway, surgery. Everybody in the operating room kept calling me Catherine so it was a relief when the doc thought to ask me what my nickname was =_= He made me drink half a sleeping pill so that I would "be able to relax" (read: be completely knocked out despite it being a local anesthesia procedure so that I wouldn't be a nuisance to him), and I think the reason it took a pretty long time before we actually started was because they were waiting for me to fall asleep already, and I...wasn't. Haha. That must've annoyed the doc, but hey, not my fault the drugs took their sweet time to kick in. So I was still awake during most of the cauterizing part, and at the start of stitching. I finally dozed off halfway through, and when I woke up an hour had passed.

I now have a ton of post-surgery medication. Painkillers, antibiotics, ointment, even ~special shampoo~... Ugh. Two more weeks, and this high-maintenance treatment crap will finally be over.

These days I've been hooked on playing The World Ends with You. It really is as addictive and challenging as the reviews say. Challenging because it requires your eyeballs to look in two different directions, addictive because despite the future state said eyeballs will undoubtedly have (dunno the English word for banlag), you can't put it down anyway.

Everyone wants a piece of Neku's ass. No wonder the poor kid's allergic to people.

it gets fruitier )

Still halfway through the game because I go into battles way too much (hey, I can make Neku wear a bikini now!). My sister already spoiled half of the storyline to me anyway.

More gay to come.

This hiatus is officially over. I missed you so, eljay ;o; And before I face the nightmare of going through everything I missed out on when I was gone...

GOOD RIDDANCE, BIO 12. THANK GOD FOR FINAL EXAM EXEMPTIONS. IN YOUR INCOMPETENT FACE, IB.

:D

I only have about three weeks before the first semester officially starts, but whatever, I am still so happy! Tomorrow I am going an a long-overdue family outing. For the past four weeks of academic slavery, my mother has been subtly complaining that I study too much, like it's my fault that my department is so fucked up I have to unjustly compensate for their inefficiency at assigning course slots to people who actually need them, and now she shall be appeased. Imagine having your own mother telling you NOT to study and have some fun for once despite your gazillion exams. Story of my life.

I don't know if staying away from LJ benefited me or not. On the one hand, my long-running obsession with Johnny's Entertainment has mellowed down considerably (self-restraint works wonders, [info]aoiyukime021), but on the other hand... less time on the Internet made me more well-acquainted with things I used to obsess over before JE, which was...a hell of a lot more. So now I am starting to really put my DS Lite (and [info]danii06's PSP) to good use and I am catching up on several manga series. [info]danii06 suddenly ups and decides to play Kingdom Hearts after all these years, subsequently rekindling my love for the series and inclining me to read KH fic again, and with three KH sequels coming up I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT and now I cannot wait for Squeenix to release the English version of 358/2 Days because OMG YOU GET TO CONTROL MEMBERS OF ORGANIZATION XIII. AND GO ON HEART-HARVESTING MISSIONS. AND WATCH AXEL AND ROXAS SLACKING OFF AND HANGING AROUND TWILIGHT TOWN EATING SEA-SALT ICE CREAM TOGETHER LIKE THE BFFS THAT THEY ARE ASLKDJALLJDAKJSDF God I really really want to play that game *___*

And I was totally studying the rest of the time, yeah. Really I was. Whatever, I didn't flunk any exams and I passed all my plates on time like a good little student, okay. What does it matter if I wedged in a couple hours reading fic or playing Crisis Core in between...

Keiz, off to put my freedom to good use <3

Okay. It has only just sunk in that for the next four weeks or so, I will be stuck in school for seven (or more) hours every weekday, with a minimum of two exams per week, at least a couple of plates to submit everyday, and 23446327527430987 living organisms' distinctive characteristics/classification/scientific name/sex life/distant relatives to memorize...all for ONE class that I cannot afford to fail.

T_T

So to anyone who cares, I am going to take a little break from LJ. YES PAM I AM SERIOUS *cries* If anyone wants to contact me, please do so through e-mail (it's in my profile) or IM (Yahoo! Messenger, same ID as my e-mail).

Um, so that's it. Cutting self off from fandom for at least a month... no news, spazzing, jdorama watching (asdklfjasl LAST FRIENDS *sob*). Or fanfiction. Cannot write while I am drawing 430x magnified Saccharomyces cerevisieae or something. Oh yeah, and to show that I am serious about all this,

Anybody who thinks I owe them fic, or just wants me to write fic, whatever, just comment in this post and I SWEAR TO GOD IF I PASS BIO 12 I WILL WRITE IT FOR YOU. Just as long as it isn't porn. Or tentacle rape. Yeah. Right now I'm into JE and Gakuen Alice (NxM ♥) and Gokusen...but I can do PoT or Kingdom Hearts or D.Gray-Man or any other fandom I've foraged at some point.

This will be my way of thanking God if when I pass because, you know, I have no money to give to charitable organizations or whatever it is that people do when God grants them a miracle. It isn't really much, I guess, but it's all my meager capabilities can offer so STFU. Although I don't know if God will appreciate me writing slash much.

Well. I'll miss you guys. Bye bye for now ♥

BIO 12, Summer Edition

Five profs. Ten exams. Four weeks. Day 1: Memorize a gazillion scientific names, plskthnxbai.

Life is Bio. Bio is suicide. Therefore someone must shoot me now. Wait, that wouldn't be suicide then, would it? Damn.

Oh yeah. Randomly speaking of self-inflicted death, I am not a kpop fan so I only found out from my sister today that a certain SuJu fangirl committed suicide some time ago because other fans kept harassing and threatening her. The crime: taking a picture with a SuJu member.

I always used to think fandom wank was fucking hilarious for the most part, but wank escalating to this level is Not Funny :| Maybe it's laughable to consider it happening to some of your fandoms, f-list, but you never know, a gang of psycho zealots might strangle you in your sleep for claiming that you're with child and Darth Vader's the father someday.

Too much of something is bad for people. Sadly, a surprising number of immature idiots the world over will never seem to realize that.

I've been watching a couple of last year's jdoramas for the past three days. Granted, they were jdoramas with JE idols in them, but I don't have much of a choice because I only leeched them from [info]bluefoxkae. So now I've finally watched Yamada Tarou Monogatari and Bambino!

The JE bug is catching on to not just my little brother, who still knows all of Kanjani8's full names/Eito Ranger colors up to this day, but to my OLDER BROTHER. This is what he gets for watching jdoramas along with me. I swear, he always complains when I watch jdoramas because it cuts down on his PS2 gaming time, but for some reason he sits with me whenever I'm watching and now HE KNOWS EVERYONE IN ARASHI EXCEPT AIBA and I'm not even all that much of an Arashi fan in the first place. Whenever I watch a jdorama he asks me which JE guy is in it this time, and I answer him on autopilot, said JE guy's full name and group in the company, and then he asks if it's their group who's singing the opening/ending song and when I say yes he'll sigh and mutter "Figures" under his breath. And then he sees the PVs and comments on how gay all the members are.

Nowadays he complains that I should watch a funny series, but I am short on those ([info]gunbound_addict's copy of Nodame Cantabile is in my room somewhere - don't worry, Claire, I am bound to find it once I bully myself into cleaning my room!), and I can't stand another episode of Yukan Club (I endured until the third, only because it had bride!Yoko in it). I don't know why, but something about its brand of humor really irritates the hell out of me. Come to think of it, I also almost stopped watching Yamada Tarou because I really hated the Ikegami girl and her stupid tama no koshii fantasies. I was always inclined to shout "Hipokritang matapobre!" whenever she appeared onscreen but I had to do it in my head because my mother would give me weird looks for the rest of the day if I didn't.

@RL: Summer classes start on Friday, ugh. I will have to start limiting my Breath of Fire III and Final Fantasy III sessions to less than an hour everyday ;o; And get used to waking up before the crack of dawn (5:30am *shudders*). Ah, life. Craptastic once more.

pam: YUKAN CLUB, PROPOSAL DAISAKUSEN, YAMADA TARO MONOGATARI, GOKUSEN 3, 1 LITRE OF TEARS, NOBUTA WO PRODUCE, KUROSAGI, MY BOSS MY HERO
pam: PUCHA AYOKO NG NOBUTA
ned: SERIOUSLY
ned: ALL THOSE
pam: D:
ned: ALL THOSE?
pam: yesss
ned: OMFG THE DUBBING BUTCHERY

I don't know if this is confirmed, but a comment in the iGMAtv forums claimed that these dramas are in the upcoming lineup. This picture sums it up quite nicely, but it doesn't look official so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Still, I wouldn't put it past GMA7, since they've already aired Gokusen 1 and 2, HYD 1 and 2 and HanaKimi.

Local TV has extended its claws beyond cringe-worthy dubbed anime (haiz NaROOHtoh), moving on to jdorama D:

pam: FUCK
pam: oh yeah
pam: ...for pi's dubber, all they have to do is to find someone with colds =))
pam: OMFG WHAT ARE THEY GOING TO DO TO RYO'S DUBBER
ned: OMFG NO NO NO NOT RYO
pam: and KAME D:

ned: aaaagh no. when i heard odagiri ryu's dubbed voice, my first reaction was to fall off my chair laughing. deep. TOO DEEP.
kim: the dubbed version of hanakimi wasn't so nice either
kim: even oguri shun's voice
ned: augh, if they pronounce Haruto as HaROOto I am going to hit someone :|
kim: haha, kawawa naman yung masasapak mo

If only half the local dubbers were decent, I would not be so averse to it. But if the dubbed anime series are any indication, can it be any more plain to point out that they SUCK? I mean, give the actors some credit. Seeing as how Johnny's idols sell their voices for a living, I won't be surprised if Mary Kitagawa sues our humble voice actors for a job horrifically done. This is just the icing on the cake, but the way they mispronounce Japanese names really grates on my nerves. How hard is it to say them? Practically the entire phonetic range of the Japanese language is a subset of Tagalog's.

Thank God for fansubs and the Internet T__T

clip subbed by [info]ohmiya_sg and [info]enshinge

So I only recently found out that Nishikido Ryo did the VTR message thing for Matsumoto Jun's Shounen Club Premium appearance, and watching it amused me to no end. Saying things like "he takes me out to places all the time," "he treated me to yakiniku at Shibuya," "we went to see a movie after," and the clincher, "but for the whole time, he paid for me..." LOL Ryo, spilled all the details of your date, much? xD

Real discreet, Ryo. No really. It doesn't help that you looked so embarrassed about recounting one of your nice nights out with MatsuJun instead of talking about his...finer...qualities, such as his (probably) extremely close relationship with reflective surfaces. And admitting that you're scared of him - where has your notorious poison tongue rep gone? Unable to wriggle out of where it's tightly wrapped around MatsuJun's princessy finger?

I should probably download the whole episode now, because the clip didn't include MatsuJun's reaction to the VTR. Might as well because I've been keen on collecting all subbed SCP episodes I can find, these days.

On other things... after voting for the USC and CSSC elections, [info]mls_addxn and I stopped by the AS Walk, and I bought The Complete Fairy Tales: Brothers Grimm on impulse. I can't believe I bought a book =__= I almost never buy books, even after all those times I browse there with [info]aoiyukime021. Meme's drop-by-AS-Walk-and-end-up-buying-something tendencies must have gotten transferred to me at that moment.

Now I...am kinda broke. And things at home are still fucked up so my parents refuse to give me money. And I guess I'll just have to extend my Lenten Season practices some more and abstain from eating for a whole week, or something.

Looking on the bright side, at least I get to read morbid fairy tales while I'm at it.

SAILOR FUKU UEDA IS PRETTIER THAN YOU. ♥♥♥♥♥!!!!1!

See how the other KAT-TUN members are completely mesmerized. Jin steps closer for a better look. Kame's maternal instincts kick in as he fusses over Ueda's collar. Maru gives Ueda a shove so as to get Kame's wandering hands off him. Junno is blatantly staring. Koki kind of fails at trying to appear disinterested, eyes glancing away but inevitably being drawn back to Ueda's pretty.

UEDA TATSUYA IN DRAG TOTALLY PAWNS KAT-TUN IN THE FACE AND MAKES THEM COMPLETELY AGREE ON SOMETHING FOR ONCE, ERGO, UEDA TATSUYA IS A VIABLE SOURCE OF KAT-TUN MEMBER-AI.

There's hope for KAT-TUN yet. Great job, Princess; keep it up! :D

So the other day [info]bluefoxkae sent me a text message that NEWS' Hadashi no Cinderella Boy will be the theme song for Isshun no Kaze ni Nare, and I remember sending an indignant reply before putting it aside in favor of cramming for my Geol 1 exam. This post made me pay attention to this bit of news again, and I have to say I disagree with this arrangement, seeing as 1) it's an old song, 2) Uchi isn't singing in it and 3) it's a bit rich for JE to use it after making a statement that Uchi and Kusano aren't going to return to NEWS.

Besides, KAT-TUN is going to release LIPS for Kame's Ichi Pondo no Fukuin; NEWS already has Taiyou no Namida for the Kurosagi movie... Why shouldn't JE release a new Kanjani8 single for Isshun no Kaze ni Nare? :| It's slightly annoying to read article translations about "former NEWS member Uchi Hiroki" and not have any mention that he was a member of Kanjani8 too. And yeah, Eito's more known for their cracky songs, but I'm sure they're more than capable of putting out something that'll suit the drama.

I just think it's a bit unfair; recently when NEWS or KAT-TUN members get drama roles, their respective groups get first dibs on the theme song and Kanjani8 doesn't quite have the same privilege. I know that the "Kanjani8 is so undermined, whyyy" complaint gets old, but can their fans be completely blamed for having this mentality when these kind of things, no matter how insignificant they could seem, can be observed? It just makes a person think, sometimes.

Meanwhile the shallow part of me just wants to see Kanjani8 in yet another PV wearing short shorts 8D *bricked*

Not trying to bash NEWS here - I like them as much as the next JE group, but you gotta admit that after weeeek and Pacific (which were both released at a later date than It's My Soul), having Taiyou no Namida is enough, and it won't do them any harm if Kanjani8 releases a new single as well.

cha·grin [shə-ˈgrin]
noun
disquietude or distress of mind caused by humiliation, disappointment, or failure

My family and I went to Mass as usual today, thirty minutes too early because dad is a lay minister and is constantly hyperaware of the possibility that he might be late. I was sitting on the pew with mom and my siblings, utterly bored, when JR saw a little girl donning a bright pink shirt and whirled excitedly at me, loudly saying "DITSE TINGNAN MO, NAKA-PINK SIYA! PINK RANGER! UCHI, UCHI HIROKI!" and beaming proudly as if he had just completed his homework on fractions all by himself. People stared.

family are people who never fail to embarrass you to no end despite their good intentions )

And now I must cram-write a Geog 1 paper that was assigned way back in December, conjuring up some hocus-pocus on how the Disney movie Enchanted has incorporated fundamental geographic concepts. Then it's back to the guillotine studying for organic chemistry, the bane of my existence D:

I don't believe in new year's resolutions.
